Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Primary Care Physician for a health plan in Tucson, AZ. This is a full-time position with a salary and great benefits package.
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive primary medical care and treatment to patients within the specified scope of practice.
- Conducting physical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and prescribing appropriate medications and treatments.
- Evaluating, managing, and coordinating healthcare services for patients, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with patients to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient history, examination results, and treatment plans.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide coordinated and patient-centered care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Staying updated with medical advancements and best practices in primary care.
Essential Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based healthcare setting.
Desired Experience:
- Possess at least 1-3 years of experience as a Primary Care Physician
- Experience in managing chronic diseases and acute conditions in a primary care setting.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Experience in providing comprehensive preventive care and health promotion services.
