Our client, a Health Center providing affordable healthcare to the underserved and vulnerable in New York City, seeks a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Perform initial assessment of mental health conditions e.g., depression and anxiety disorders
  • Order and analyze necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-making
  • Prescribe appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure
  • Advise patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings
  • Partake in health promotion activities and recruitment efforts for the site
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records about each patient
  • Complete EMR documentation, billing, and patient-related paperwork in a timely manner\
  • Participate in night and weekend call shared among clinicians
  • Attend and participate in clinic, provider, and all staff meetings
  • Engage in center wide and clinic-specific quality improvement projects and peer review
  • Assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner
  • Comply with all laws applicable to the practice of your specialty including HIPAA and mandated reporting

Job Requirements:

  • MD/DO degree required
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified
  • Current and valid NYS license
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Updated BLS and infection control certificate
  • Bilingual, either Spanish/English or Mandarin/English, is a plus
  • Knowledge of HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus
