Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform initial assessment of mental health conditions e.g., depression and anxiety disorders
- Order and analyze necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-making
- Prescribe appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure
- Advise patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings
- Partake in health promotion activities and recruitment efforts for the site
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records about each patient
- Complete EMR documentation, billing, and patient-related paperwork in a timely manner\
- Participate in night and weekend call shared among clinicians
- Attend and participate in clinic, provider, and all staff meetings
- Engage in center wide and clinic-specific quality improvement projects and peer review
- Assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner
- Comply with all laws applicable to the practice of your specialty including HIPAA and mandated reporting
Job Requirements:
- MD/DO degree required
- Board Eligible/Board Certified
- Current and valid NYS license
- Current DEA certificate
- Updated BLS and infection control certificate
- Bilingual, either Spanish/English or Mandarin/English, is a plus
- Knowledge of HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus
