**Faculty Family Medicine opening near Knoxville, TN**
Located in Oak Ridge, TN - Knoxville 25m; Nashville 162m
Seeking a founding core faculty to build a Family Medicine residency meeting the needs of the future.
* This new 8-8-8 program is looking for leaders with vision to care for patients, precept and teach family medicine, coach and mentor residents and explore fundamental clinical and quality issues.
* Full scope hospital providing core rotations and the health system has access to a myriad of clinical settings for our residents to further develop their skills.
* A newly constructed teaching clinic and academic unit will greet you and a leadership group is looking to this program to provide the compass for primary care in our region.
* Telehealth will be a foundational activity within our clinic and all areas of teaching will be open to faculty with diverse interests.
* Our Chief Medical Officer will lead QI research and teaching on health systems.
* You will enjoy a work-life balance in this beautiful city and have a chance to build the program from the ground floor up.
* Initial responsibilities will be building faculty practice and honing curriculum and individual faculty skills.
* Initial class will enter 7/1/2024 allowing time to coalesce as a faculty team.
**Responsibilities:**
* Practice and teach comprehensive Family Medicine
* Provide clinical supervision of residents in an outpatient setting
* Serve as an advisor and role model
* Teach didactics and lead curriculum development
* 30% non-clinical time with approval of the Program Director
**Qualified Candidates:**
* Board Certified in family medicine
* Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
* DEA with full prescriptive authority
* 2 years of core faculty experience or related academic leadership experience preferred
* Commitment to providing high quality, evidenced based patient care
* Commitment to teach residents and train the Family Medicine physicians of tomorrow
