Job Description

An Alpine, California based client is seeking an excellent Family Practice Physician to provide care to patients of all ages in a community health center. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations. This role involves providing continuing, comprehensive wellness, preventative, and medical care to families. The role will involve working both at the Alpine and Campo facilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current CA state medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified in Family Medicine
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; Maintaining the patient record in a timely fashion
  • Provide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information to other health care providers
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results
  • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients
  • Advise patients concerning diet, activity, and disease prevention
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary
