Job Description

A Long Island based client is seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician to provide excellent care to patients of all ages. This is a community health center role, and only outpatient. An ideal candidate is a versatile and collaborative Physician who values providing equitable care to all populations. Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
  • Current NY state medical license
  • Completed an accredited residency program
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine
  • Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
  • Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
  • Perform therapeutic procedures and educate patients on their treatment plans
  • Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
  • Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to policy
  • Serve as a supervisor for nursing and mid-level provider staff
