Practice Overview:
- Team Environment: Collaborate with 5 staff providers, 9 facility providers, and 18 residents, fostering a vibrant and supportive atmosphere.
- Employment Type: Enjoy the benefits of an employed practice with a focus on outpatient care.
- Patient Load: Target patient load averages 21 patients per day, ensuring a balanced workload.
- Telephone ONLY Call Schedule: Currently 1:4, providing a manageable balance of work and personal time.
- Technology: Utilize EMR-Athena for efficient patient care documentation.
- Support Staff: Work alongside a dedicated team including 7 LPNs, 5 CMAs, and 13 clerical staff members.
Office Hours:
- Convenient Schedule: Open Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 8 PM, and Friday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Structured Patient Hours: Providers see patients from 8 AM to noon and 1 PM to 5 PM, with evening clinics covered by residents and staff providers.
Team Concept:
- Collaborative Care: Each provider is assigned to a dedicated team, managing three rooms and supported by 2-3 LPNs, 2-3 CMAs, and occasional float pool MAs.
- Patient-Centered Approach: Book appointments based on 20–30-minute units, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care.
- Patient-Centered Medical Home Designation: 30% of clinic schedules are reserved for same-day appointments, emphasizing accessibility and continuity of care.
Medical Practice Highlights:
- Specialized Clinics: Participate in diverse clinics such as MAT (Michigan Assisted Treatment), Hep-C, OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine), and procedure clinics, enriching patient care options.
- Teaching Facility: Proudly affiliated with Michigan State University, supporting an active residency program with 18 residents rotating every 3 years. Residents provide comprehensive care in both clinic and hospital settings, including OB services.
- Educational Opportunities: Engage with students from various colleges and universities, contributing to the education of future healthcare professionals.
- Community Impact: Operate an on-site Anticoagulation Clinic, enhancing patient management and educational outreach with Ferris Pharmacy program students.
