**Family Medicine Director Opening in Albuquerque, NM**_x000D_ _x000D_ Seeking Family Medicine Director for growing group. The medical director is responsible for medical supervision and overall regulation of all medical facets that may affect the Medical Group. The medical director's general duties include overseeing clinical compliance, the quality of patient care, and the education of the providers in the clinics within the MeDs purview._x000D_ _x000D_ The medical director works with management to coordinate various interdisciplinary teams to execute the clinic's policies, systems and performances, and must be deeply involved in the regulation and implementation of Lovelace Health system; The medical director ensures an adequate environment for the professional well-being of the providers while demonstrating exemplary behavior, cultivating respect, fairness, integrity, responsibility, and promoting the spirit of trust and professionalism in the organization._x000D_ _x000D_ **Professional Requirements**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Medical degree with board certification and valid license to practice medicine _x000D_ * 5 years of clinical medicine experience_x000D_ * 3 years of medical management experience or administrative role are preferred_x000D_ * Proficient with computers, web-based programs and electronic medical records _x000D_ * Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise_x000D_ * Comprehensive knowledge of modern principles and techniques of general medicine and public health, as traditionally practiced_x000D_ * Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care_x000D_ * Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards_x000D_ * Willing to travel between clinics_x000D_ _x000D_ **Additional Skills and Abilities**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Three-dimensional, broad mind, thinking globally and applying locally in order to improve medical practice even when some tools are not always available in a good but less than perfect medical domain._x000D_ * Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse ecosystem._x000D_ * Effective verbal and written communication skills._x000D_ * Ability to study and understand KPIs as they apply to providers._x000D_ * Ability to interact with students, providers and staff in a team environment._x000D_ * Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals in area of expertise._x000D_ * Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops._x000D_ _x000D_ **Oversee Clinical Compliance**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Ensure quality patient care and fiscal compliance by confirming that the facility/ies is in compliance with state and federal regulations._x000D_ * Collaborate with the medical board to update, amend, and replace medical policies._x000D_ * Provide clinical oversight to ancillary services such as radiology, lab, pharmacy, _x000D_ * Represent clinical specialty in issues such as risk, HIPPA, and strategic management._x000D_ _x000D_ **Maintain Quality of Patient Care**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Provide high-quality customer service to the diversity of patients. Intervene and mediate in difficult situations involving patients._x000D_ * Direct a team of physicians and ensure that workforce is complying with Ardent and LMG standards in providing care._x000D_ * Create work groups and participate in leadership committees that are designed to improve patient care._x000D_ _x000D_ **Educate Medical Personnel**_x000D_ * Maintain the professional development of other medical personnel at the facility/ies through clinical practices._x000D_ * Work directly with providers to educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care quality._x000D_ _x000D_ **Provider Engagement**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Facilitate and plan the agenda for All Provider meetings, round with providers, and conduct peer mentoring to reinforce provider engagement._x000D_ * Assist providers in meeting financial, coding, quality, risk, and patient satisfaction goals._x000D_ * Collaborate with the clinic director or human resources on issues related to conflict resolution, disciplinary issues, recruitment and retention._x000D_ * Act as the clinical ambassador for provider onboarding and departure._x000D_ _x000D_ **Healthcare System Development**_x000D_ _x000D_ * Remain apprised of the needs of the healthcare system as they relate to Specialty (growth, emergency preparedness, development of new initiatives)._x000D_ * Work with specialty and hospitalists groups to reinforce beneficial medical group relationships._x000D_ * Serve as Specialty voting member for Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee._x000D_ * Work with CMO, COO, and CFO as well as Directors and Managers to facilitate contracting and compensation.
