Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on a continuing basis including but not limited to
o Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults, and children
o Advising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate
preventive screenings
o Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform
clinical decision-making
o Prescribing appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the
scope of licensure
o Referring patients for consultant services when necessary
• Engage in health promotion activities
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records about each patient, including observations during examinations
• Complete EMR documentation, billing, and patient-related paperwork in a timely manner, we use ECW
• Comfort working with diverse populations including recent immigrants to the United States
• Participate in night and weekend call shared among clinicians
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
• Attend and participate in clinic, provider, and all staff meetings
• Participate in pre-visit planning activities with the other members of the care team
• Participate in center wide and clinic-specific quality improvement projects and PEER Review
• Participate in appropriate certification/maintenance of certification and continuing medical education activities
• Maintain updated license and DEA
• Work continually to assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective
manner
• Comply with all laws applicable to the practice of your specialty including HIPAA and mandated reporting
• Perform other duties as required or assigned
