Family Practice w/OB & Site Residency Director
Purpose of the Position: Assists the Program Director (PD) in the planning, organization, implementation, and coordination of activities of the family medicine residency program related to rural site(s). Assists the Program Director and works collaboratively with Associate Program Directors (APDs) and Director of Osteopathic Education to ensure accreditation standards for ACGME and Osteopathic Recognition are met. Performs related physician duties as required by accreditation standards and according to the faculty job description.
Hours: Full time; 40 hours per week + call
Qualifications: Current WA State Medical License, board certified, DEA, Current BCLS card. Graduation from an accredited medical school and successful completion of an accredited residency. Prior experience working with medically underserved populations and working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred. No restriction from participation with the Medicaid or Medicare programs. Ability to obtain credentials from appropriate health plans, and to be covered by CHCW malpractice liability carrier. Graduation from an accredited medical school and successful completion of an accredited residency. Prior experience as a family physician with a combination of education, training, and experience that equates to a minimum of two years, full time, professional activity in the field of family medicine. Teaching and administrative experience in a family medicine residency program are highly desirable. Additional preparatory instruction (e.g. WWAMI Faculty Development Program, PDW/STFM Annual Meeting attendance) is highly recommended.
