Currently seeking full spectrum, Family Medicine, Core Faculty Physician for a 6-6-6 Family Medicine Residency Program based in a 116-bed community hospital. The ideal candidates must be Family Medicine board certified with experience in full-scope family medicine, including obstetrics, and a desire to provide patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Fellowship training is preferred but not required.


The main focus of the position will primarily be the teaching of residents, but will also have responsibilities for teaching medical students and oversight of advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Call: 1:2 for practice-based, low-volume OB patients; no overnight call for hospitalist shifts
  • 1:6 office call (phone call only with residents taking the first call)
  • Practice Site(s): Abingdon, VA, and Marion, VA
