We are seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician to provide locum tenens coverage during a maternity/paternity leave vacancy. This position involves outpatient care, call coverage, and nursery care, offering a great opportunity to work in a flexible and collaborative environment.

  • Outpatient Care:

    • Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including newborns, children, adolescents, and adults.
    • Perform routine wellness exams, manage chronic conditions, and deliver preventive care.
  • Call Coverage:

    • Participate in telephone on-call duties one weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday 7:00 AM–Monday 7:00 AM).
    • Provide in-person nursery coverage as needed, averaging 0–1 deliveries per shift.
  • Specialty Skills (Preferred but Not Required):

    • Gynecological procedures, including IUD insertion/removal and colposcopy.
    • Obstetric care, including prenatal care and newborn resuscitation.

Job Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education & Certification:
MD or DO degree.
Board Certification in Family Medicine (required).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
Active BLS certification required.
Licensure:
Active Wisconsin medical license or eligibility under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Experience:
Strong clinical expertise in general family medicine.
Experience with newborn care and resuscitation preferred.

Working Hours

Clinic Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Flexible scheduling available for fewer days per week.
Call Schedule:
24-hour on-call coverage one weekday per week and one weekend per month.

Skills

Broad knowledge in family medicine, including outpatient care.
Newborn and pediatric care skills, including neonatal resuscitation.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
