  • Other Details: The facility, which trauma level 4 is looking for a provider to cover On-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. The schedule of Clinic will be 8-5. No weekends/nights call unless the physician is able to help with "peds" call. There are an average of 12-25 patients per shift.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide primary care, preferably for both adult and pediatric patients, though adult-only coverage is acceptable if available.
- Manage a small portion of pediatric patients within the clinic panel.
- Take hospital call only if board-certified in Family Practice (FP) and able to perform pediatric/nursery call.
- Provide pediatric coverage for the OB program, which includes minimal pediatric admissions and approximately 100 births per year.
- Commit to a locum assignment ideally lasting 3 to 6 months.

Qualifications

License: An active Michigan state license or IMLC membership is required.
Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible

Working Hours

Clinic 8-5. No weekends/nights call unless the physician is able to help with "peds" call. (hospital admits/nursery). Volume small. 100 deliveries/year very minimal peds admits.

Skills

- Expertise in well-woman care and general outpatient services.
- Proficiency in pediatric care across all age groups, including:
- Newborns (birth–30 days)
- Infants (30 days–1 year)
- Toddlers (1–2 years)
- Children (3–13 years)
- Adolescents (13–18 years)
- Experience in newborn care and newborn resuscitation.
- Ability to manage both general outpatient and inpatient cases.
- Preference for candidates with Peds Hospitalist experience.
