As a Primary Care Sports Medicine physician at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Our integrated Sports Medicine team uses state-of-the-art techniques, advanced procedures, and innovative therapies to design treatment plans that are customized to our patients’ specific needs and address the full continuum of care.
As the first Primary Care Sports Medicine physician at Ephraim Clinic, you will establish a practice and presence in Ephraim, Utah as a strong member of the rural community. We anticipate you seeing patients of all-ages for fracture care, sports-related concussions, and procedures, including ultrasound-guided injections and orthopedic biologics (PRP).
In this role you can anticipate:
- Practicing primarily at Ephraim Clinic in Ephraim, Utah, and rotating weekly to Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, Utah and Sevier Valley Hospital in Richfield, Utah
- New hospital and clinic in Ephraim expected in 2027
- Covering your own patient-panel call, as well as shared ED call with local Orthopedic Surgeons
- Providing high school sanctioned sports coverage in Ephraim, Utah
- Performing advanced injection techniques, plasma, nerve blocks, diagnostic ultrasound, etc.

What you’ll bring:
- MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
- Sports Medicine fellowship trained
- Board certification or eligibility in Primary Care Sports Medicine and Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
- We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time

Life in the Mountain West
Ephraim is located at the heart of Sanpete County in central Utah's Panoramaland which offers a scenic mix, rock hounding sites on the Great Basin Desert combine with the soaring cliffs of Capitol Reef National Park, sparkling lakes, and spectacular mountain drives. Panoramaland encompasses parts of four national forests.
