Job Summary:

The Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) is a vital position in our healthcare team, whose principal responsibility is to offer comprehensive and continual healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. This role entails interacting with patients of different age sets, diagnosing various health conditions, and providing appropriate treatments or referrals to specialists when necessary. The physician will play a crucial role in promoting preventive care and health education among patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct routine check-ups to patients to assess their health condition and discover possible ailments.
  2. Diagnose and treat illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
  3. Prescribe, administer, and dispense medication in accordance with state regulations.
  4. Refer patients to specialists based on diagnostic findings and patients' needs.
  5. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnosis.
  6. Develop treatment plans and coordinate patient's care with other healthcare professionals.
  7. Assess patients’ health status and response to treatment and revise treatment plans, as needed.
  8. Establish preventive health practices for patients to maximize their health and well-being.
  9. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices.
  10. Keep accurate and detailed records of patients’ medical histories, diagnoses, and treatments.
  11. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals like nurses, physician assistants, and physical therapists.
