We have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with Fellowship training or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine to become Medical Director of a Program located in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Job Responsibilities

-Under the supervision of the Executive Director.
-Provides general medical direction and supervision of the medical aspects of participant care
-Responsible for the delivery of participant care, clinical outcomes, and oversight of the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
-Responsible for the development and maintenance of medical policies and procedures/standards and protocols
-Provides direction and supervision to related Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and APPs.
-Provides leadership and guidance to the program colleagues and providers in the local community

Qualifications

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine - REQUIRED
Board Certified in Geriatrics (Fellowship-trained) or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - HIGHLY PREFERRED
IN license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
Clean Malpractice - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Need to have a driver's license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation
CDS Certification (by time of start) - REQUIRED
DEA Verbal Confirmation (by time of start) - REQUIRED
BLS (by time of start) - REQUIRED
Minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population - REQUIRED
Previous supervisory experience - REQUIRED

Skills

-Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), in addition to basic knowledge of email, calendaring systems, and other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job
-Excellent organizational, customer service, flexibility, and problem-solving skills
-Willingness to travel within the region periodically as needed
