- The Director of the Benjamin Leon Center for Geriatric Research & Education in the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine will provide strategic vision and leadership to develop local, regional, and national excellence for the educational, research, and professional development initiatives of the Center. The successful candidate is expected to have a significant record of sustained accomplishments in extramurally funded basic, translational, epidemiological, or clinical research. This position will come with a generous start-up package.
Job Responsibilities
• VA Miami Healthcare System provides primary and specialty health care services to about 63,000 Veterans in 3 south Florida counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe.
• The Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center opened in 1968 on 26.3 acres in downtown Miami.
Qualifications
• Aging research through all medical specialties, population research related to aging/geriatrics, outcomes researchers.
• Applicants should be eligible for the rank of Professor or Associate Professor at FIU.
