We are currently recruiting a Board-Certified Physician with active Maryland medical and DEA licenses for a part time, contracted, Medical Director in a skilled nursing facility.

We are a progressive multi-specialty medical practice that provides innovative clinical leadership to sub-acute, rehabilitative and palliative care settings. Our professionals provide quality patient care and strive to create effective partnerships and alliances with the medical community.

As a Physician Medical Director, you will provide medical staff oversight services at our post acute, rehabilitative and palliative-care institutions.

In your role as the Medical Director, responsibilities include:
Manage new admissions
Attend Quality meetings
Oversee and support in-servicing of staff
Ensure exceptional patient care in a post-acute care setting
Attend quality assurance and policy review meetings on a regular basis

The schedule would mostly consist of weekly meetings with nursing home facility staff, reviewing medical charts and overseeing the medical staff of the facility. Per facility, this is roughly 2 hours per week. Since they don't typically see patients, they would only get calls if the need arises and it wouldn't be any weekend or overnight calls unless the facility has some sort of emergency needing their attention.
