Responsible for the delivery of participant care, for clinical outcomes, and for the implementation, as well as oversight, of the quality improvement program. The Medical Director provides clinical leadership for the care and treatment of participants of program using primary care concepts, emphasizing prevention of illness and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. This position provides clinical direction and guidance to the program and staff to assure the maintenance of quality care for participants and families. They are ultimately responsible for medical outcomes and serve as a liaison between the program and community physicians, as well as with others engaged in health care services. This position and/or their designees provide direct medical care as needed to participants in the home, the center, and in other multiple healthcare settings.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job

1. Works cooperatively with the Vice President of PACE to ensure quality care delivery to all
participants, affirm the PACE mission, and educate team members on the PACE service delivery
model.

2. Coordinates the work of medical staff, chair medical staff meetings, and supervise educational
plans of fellows, residents and students who rotate at the community center.
3. Recruits and hire contract providers as appropriate for the program.
4. Works cooperatively with clinical staff, including integrating primary care providers into the
team, as needed.
5. Serves on appropriate organizational and corporate-wide committees
6. Leads specific projects as appropriate and directed by the Chief Medical Officer and Vice
President.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a primary care physician
• 2 years of experience working with older adults strongly preferred
• Evidence of program or clinical leadership, minimum of one year

Working Hours

M-F
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
