**Primary Care Opening in Chicago, IL**_x000D_ Located in Berwyn_x000D_ _x000D_ Seeking board certified or eligible primary care physician. _x000D_ * Bilingual (Spanish) required. _x000D_ * Urgent Need_x000D_ _x000D_ ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:_x000D_ * Provides medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating of clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs._x000D_ * Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients and families._x000D_ * Determines which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs._x000D_ * Determines level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments._x000D_ * Exercises final medical judgment in all issues of health care._x000D_ * Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients._x000D_ * Orders studies, test and ancillary services._x000D_ * Documents all services in patient medical record._x000D_ * Reviews on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention._x000D_ * Assists in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients._x000D_ * Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations._x000D_ * Other duties as assigned and modified at managers discretion._x000D_ _x000D_ KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:_x000D_ * Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques._x000D_ * Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment._x000D_ * Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette._x000D_ * Performs in a tactful and professional manner_x000D_ * Fluent in English and Spanish._x000D_ _x000D_ EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:_x000D_ * MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty required_x000D_ * Must be able to obtain a State Medical License or already have a current, active State Medical License for the state(s) in which he/she will be working_x000D_ * Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics or similar specialty is preferred. Board Eligibility is required_x000D_ * Once Board certified, PCP will maintain board certification in their specialty by doing necessary MOC, CME and/or retaking board exams as required_x000D_ * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required_x000D_ * Must have a current DEA number for schedule II-V controlled substances
