Outpatient Endocrinologist Physician MD/DO, Birmingham, AL
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endocrinologist to join our busy, well-established primary care clinic. This outpatient-only position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced endocrinologist to provide specialized care for patients with a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and metabolic disorders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic setting.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Schedule: TBD (Schedule to be determined)
- Compensation: 248,000-260,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and metabolic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, prescribing medications, managing hormone therapies, and advising patients on lifestyle modifications.
- Provide patient education on disease management, including diabetes control, weight management, and thyroid health.
- Work closely with the primary care team to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment for patients with complex or comorbid conditions.
- Perform consultations, follow-ups, and preventive care for patients, ensuring all aspects of endocrine health are addressed.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in accordance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with the latest research, treatments, and technologies in endocrinology to provide evidence-based care.
- Collaborate with specialists when necessary to ensure the highest standard of care for patients.
- Ensure patients understand their treatment plans and encourage active participation in their health management.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Endocrinology.
- Valid medical license to practice in Alabama.
- Strong experience in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient education and collaboration.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, outpatient clinic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a high-volume outpatient setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of the latest treatments and technologies in diabetes management, thyroid disorders, and hormone therapies.
