Endocrinologist Opportunity - Annapolis, MD
- Full-time, permanent position
Position Objective:
This position entails providing comprehensive care in endocrinology, including consultation, evaluation, and treatment of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Endocrinologist will also act as a consultant for referring providers and manage cases requiring endocrinological expertise in the Emergency Department and hospital floors.
Essential Job Duties:

Provide endocrinology consultations, evaluations, and treatment for patients ranging from adolescence to geriatrics.
Supervise and document all medical procedures and prescribe referrals as required.
Oversee administration of medication protocols.
Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate, clear, and timely documentation of care, treatment, and incidents.
Dictate patient care notes and comply with all medical record standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the medical team or supervisor.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine (MD or equivalent).
Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Board Certification:
- Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
- Specialty board certification or board eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Licensure:
- Current and unrestricted Maryland medical license.
- Valid DEA license.
