**Endocrinologist Opportunity - Annapolis, MD** - Full-time, permanent position **Position Objective:** This position entails providing comprehensive care in endocrinology, including consultation, evaluation, and treatment of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The Endocrinologist will also act as a consultant for referring providers and manage cases requiring endocrinological expertise in the Emergency Department and hospital floors. **Essential Job Duties:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Provide endocrinology consultations, evaluations, and treatment for patients ranging from adolescence to geriatrics. - Supervise and document all medical procedures and prescribe referrals as required. - Oversee administration of medication protocols. - Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate, clear, and timely documentation of care, treatment, and incidents. - Dictate patient care notes and comply with all medical record standards. - Perform additional duties as assigned by the medical team or supervisor. **Educational and Experience Requirements:** - Graduate of an accredited school of medicine (MD or equivalent). - Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. **Required Licenses and Certifications:** - **Board Certification:** - Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. - Specialty board certification or board eligibility in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. - **Licensure:** - Current and unrestricted Maryland medical license. - Valid DEA license. **Working Conditions and Physical Demands:** - **Exposure:** - Reasonable expectation of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. - **Work Environment:** - Dynamic clinical environment with a focus on patient-centered care. - Involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
