As a Telehealth Endocrinologist at Troy Medical, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality outpatient care to patients in rural and underserved communities. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatological conditions, with a focus on enhancing patient outcomes through innovative telehealth solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with rheumatic diseases, including history taking, physical examinations, and the interpretation of diagnostic tests.

Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to other specialists as needed.

Telehealth Consultations: Provide virtual consultations using our telehealth platform, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care while addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Collaboration: Work closely with our dedicated nursing team and on-site support staff to facilitate patient care, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up.

Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies to empower them in their care journey.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulations.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in rheumatology and telemedicine.

Qualifications

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

Certification: Board certified or eligible in Endocrinology.

Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in telehealth, is preferred but not mandatory.
