Health by Design is looking for a physician for their Diabetes & Endocrinology team. They are also open to accepting an NP/PA

Medici Health by Design has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Diabetes & Endocrinology Physician. Will travel between four clinic locations (will not typically work at more than one location per day), providing care to retired San Antonio Fire, Police, and other First Responders. Our beautiful state of the are health and wellness centers offer a variety of services including on-site physical therapy, health and nutrition coaching, mental health care and more! This individual will function independently to assess, diagnose, and treat or recommend courses of treatment for adult diseases, with particular emphasis on disorders of the endocrine system and metabolism. This is a well-supported position, partnering with Primary Care Physicians, Clinical Pharmacist, Care Navigators and RNs in a collaborative care model.
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. No late clinic hours, no 12-hour shifts, no after-hours charting or call.

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in nursing or Bachelors/Masters Physician Assistant Studies
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • Current license to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum two (2) years hands-on experience as an Advanced Practice Provider
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Certified Diabetes Educator preferred.

  • Must have a proven track record of working with Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Board Certified Endocrinology
  • ACLS, BLS (through AHA)
  • DEA
  • Certified Diabetic Educator
  • Active TX license
