Job Description
As a medical director at USACS, you will be responsible for collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while offering support to your physician staff. You will serve as a leader both within the emergency department, and as a leader within the organization. Details
- Oversee the operations of the ED in collaboration with nursing leadership and hospital administration
- Supervise the EM staff, per the bylaws, policies and procedures of the institution
- Represent the ED in the community and within the hospital medical staff
EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
- ED Volume: 30,000
- EMR: Epic with M-Modal dictation
- Moderate acuity with broad pathology
- Recognized by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center
- Recognized with Press Ganey's Guardian of Excellence Award in 2022 and 2023; this award is given to facilities with Patient Experience scores in the top 5% in the nation
- Full-service ED with special areas for pediatric and behavioral health patients
- Open, efficient layout with 24 ED rooms including two behavioral health and three pediatric-friendly rooms
- Two CT scanners and MRI in the imaging unit directly adjacent to the ED
- Facilities for LifeFlight helicopter and ambulance services
- Active with local EMS
