Emergency Medicine Locums Opportunity – Andalusia, Alabama IMLC Accepted | EM-Trained or Primary Care with ED Experience Welcome

Looking for your next locums opportunity in a supportive and community-focused hospital? We’re seeking skilled providers to join a dedicated emergency department team in Andalusia, AL.

Position Details:

• Start Date: June 1, 2025 – Ongoing

• Number of Providers Needed: 2

• Schedule: 24-hour physician coverage (7am–7pm, 7pm–7am)

• APP Support: Daily coverage from 11am–9pm

• Facility: 12-bed Emergency Department

• Patient Volume: Approximately 24–26 patients per shift

• Annual ED Volume: Around 18,774 visits

• Admission Rate: 8%

• Transfer Rate: 2.5%

• EMS Arrivals: 12.5%

• AMA Rate: 1.2%

• EMR: Medhost

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Primary Care with ED experience

• Active Alabama license or IMLC accepted

• ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required for non-EM trained providers
