Locum - Pediatrics: Emergency Medicine - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Pediatric Emergency Medicine

This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide emergency medical services for children in both the Main and South Campuses. The facility handles a substantial annual ER volume with a Level I trauma designation, ensuring that you will be supported by a skilled team in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to pediatric patients.
• Supervise and support other healthcare providers, including APPs and residents.
• Manage patient admissions and document care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Conduct evaluation and treatment protocols while coordinating with nursing and support staff.
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations with specialists as needed.
• Stay updated with hospital bylaws and comply with protocols.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (Pediatrics).
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Experience in a pediatric emergency setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Ohio medical license (candidates willing to obtain a license may be considered).
• Current certification in BLS, PALS, and ATLS is required.
