Details: I am looking for a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physician to work in Pittsburg, PA. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and hold a DO or MD credential.

Requirements:

• License: Pennsylvania State License
• DEA: Yes
• Lifesaving Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS

Additional Notes:

• BC Candidates only
• Physicians boarded in another specialty can work in the Emergency Medicine Department if their certification is current and they see PEDS. Non-EM boarded physicians must have ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and complete a sedation quiz.
• Availability must be entered into SyncX for Medical Directors to review.
• ABPS EM providers are not accepted.

Coverage Need Details:

• Need: 200 hours per month, for 20 shifts per month. Providers must offer at least 2 weeks per month.
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 20
• Privileges Available: Full Privileges in 60 days

Providers Typical Day:

• Shift variations: A 6a-3p, B 8a-5p, C 9a-5p, D 12p-8p, E 2p-11p, F 4p-12a, G 4p-1a, H 10p-6a
• Will Candidate Work Solo?: No
• On Call?: No
• Shift times for APP: APP1 7a-7p, APP2 7p-7a

Additional Information:

• No Trauma designation
• Annual patient volume: 54,000
• 25% of total volume are admitted (around 13,500 annually)
• Pediatrics: 7%
• Single or double coverage: 2-6 providers on at a time depending on time of day and day of the week
• Admissions are requested by the ED docs and fall to the receiving unit after the patient leaves the ED
• ED Bed Count: 46
• Hospital Bed Count: 329
