Position Details:

• Setting: Community Hospital Emergency Department

• Annual ER Volume: 55,000 patients

• Total Beds: 44

• Trauma Level: None

• Fast Track Staffed APP (40% of ED volume)

• Total ED Physicians: 11 (5 are leaving)

• Hospital Admissions from ED: 15%

• Transfers per Day: 1-2 patients

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medical care in a high-volume ED

• Supervise APPs

• Interpret EKGs

• Respond to in-house codes (secondary to ED emergencies)

• Collaborate with hospitalists for admissions

Support Staff & Facilities:

• Consultants Available: Radiology, Cardiology, Neurology, Critical Care, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Urology, Psychiatry

• On-Site 24/7: Radiology (CT, MRI, X-ray), Lab, OR, Anesthesia

• EMR System: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certified (ABEM/AOBEM) or Board Eligible with 5 years of Residency – Required

• Active Massachusetts License – Required at Name Clear

• Provider Must be Local (Only mileage is reimbursed)

• Estimated Credentialing Time: 4 weeks

• Trinity Health does not reimburse for credentialing costs or application fees

• Name clears submitted will be processed by the client on March 31, 2025
