  • EMR: Epic
  • Support Staff: Fast Track staffed with APPs, 11 total physicians in group
  • Percent (%) of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 15%
  • Percent (%) of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 15%
  • Percent (%) of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 1-2 pts per day
  • Total Number of Beds: 44
  • Annual ER Volume: 55,000
  • Percent (%) of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40% (Fast Track Staffed APP )
  • Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers: APPs
  • ED Staff responds to house codes; Secondary to ED emergencies, facility has a response team, ED does airway on that team
  • Hospitalists write admissions orders
  • Response time for On Call Physicians: 30 minutes or less
  • Deliveries sent directly to Labor & Delivery
  • ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by radio
  • 24 Hour Availability: Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray), Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia
  • Blood Bank - Certified by AABB
  • EM physicians do EKG interpretations
  • Pathology: Clinical, Anatomical
  • Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho
  • Available Consultations: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Gastroenterologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hematologist / Oncologist, Psychiatrist

Requirements

  • Board Certified (ABEM and AOBEM) or Board Eligible with 5 years of Residency
  • Active Massachusetts License
  • Provider must be local within driving distance
