- Percent (%) of Total Hospital Admissions Received from ED: 15%
- Percent (%) of ED Patients Admitted to the Hospital per Day: 15%
- Percent (%) of ED Patients Transferred per Day: 1-2 pts per day
- Total Number of Beds: 44
- Annual ER Volume: 55,000
- Percent (%) of Total ED Volume Treated by Fast Track: 40% (Fast Track Staffed APP )
- Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers: APPs
- ED Staff responds to house codes; Secondary to ED emergencies, facility has a response team, ED does airway on that team
- Hospitalists write admissions orders
- Response time for On Call Physicians: 30 minutes or less
- Deliveries sent directly to Labor & Delivery
- ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising Paramedics/Ambulance by radio
- 24 Hour Availability: Radiology (CT, MRI, X-Ray), Laboratory, OR, Anesthesia
- Blood Bank - Certified by AABB
- EM physicians do EKG interpretations
- Pathology: Clinical, Anatomical
- Surgical Services: CT, Vascular, Ortho
- Available Consultations: Radiologist, Critical Care Intensivist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Gastroenterologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Hematologist / Oncologist, Psychiatrist
Requirements
- Board Certified (ABEM and AOBEM) or Board Eligible with 5 years of Residency
- Active Massachusetts License
- Provider must be local within driving distance
