Near WV boarder Dates: June 2025 - Ongoing Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Schedule Negotiable (tell us your preferred schedule) Job Details: Specialty: Emergency Medicine Practice Setting: Emergency Department (Freestanding and Hospital-Based) Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only (No Call) EMR System: Epic Annual Volume: 30,000 Number of Beds: 21 Transfer Locations: Ohio Health Facilities (Grant, Riverside, Doctors) Transfer Percentage: 9.9% Admission Rate: 10.6% APP Support: 9 AM - 9 PM, 5 PM - 5 AM Shift Details: Physician Shifts: 8 AM - 8 PM, 8 PM - 8 AM Minimum Shift Requirement: 5 shifts per month (Preferred: 8-10 shifts) Facility Coverage: Providers will be assigned to Holzer Meigs, Gallipolis, and Jackson EDs Practice Requirements: Board Certification: ABMS or AOA in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Double Boarded ABPS accepted) Experience Requirement: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Medicine License Requirement: Active Ohio State License (IMLC not accepted) Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Standard processing, must complete name-clear process before credentialing COVID-19 Vaccination: Required Required Certifications: ACLS ATLS BLS PALS NRP Additional Information: Facility is a freestanding ED seeing 25-35 patients per day; staffed by one physician 24/7 with mid-level support from 12 PM - 12 AM. Facility is not a trauma center; all trauma cases are transferred. Providers are responsible for managing codes in the ED. No overtime allowed. Medical staff fees will NOT be reimbursed.
