Coverage Needed:
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Full time
- Shift times: 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am
Clinical Information:
- Support staff: nurses, on call specialists
- Average patient census: 55-60 daily, 2 patients per hour (occasional 8+ in an hour)
- Common cases: medical complaints (chest pain, abd pain, sob), basic trauma ( fall, mvc, sports injury), rarely severe or penetrating trauma
- Number of EM physicians typically on staff per shift: 1
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Current Flu Vaccine
- Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
- Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in one of the following:
- American Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- Active TX License
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
- Procedures required: ED procedures including but not limited to intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube, CPR, suture repair, I&D, central line
