There are times when we are asked to precept 2nd or 3rd year residents. These situations are not often.
Perhaps every 3 months or so. Urgent Care is adjacent to ED, and is staff with 2 - APCs and an RN. You are
not required to cosign their records, however you are a resource for them and if a patient needs to be
upgraded to ED, they will give you report and the patient will be moved to ED. There are minimal times there
will be an APC in ED proper, but due to staffing this is not an everyday occurrence.
