Position Details:
Role: Locum Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Job Type: Locum
Schedule: Full-time with flexible shift options
Setting: Emergency Department
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (both day and night shifts available)
Patient Volume: Moderate to high volume, depending on shift
Support: Collaborative team of healthcare professionals, including nurses and specialists
Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting in the Emergency Department.
Triage, assess, and manage various emergency conditions ranging from minor injuries to critical care.
Perform life-saving procedures and stabilize patients in emergencies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients in need of emergency services.
Accurately document patient care, treatments, and medical histories in the electronic health record (EHR).
Maintain a high standard of patient safety, comfort, and quality of care.
Qualifications:
MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification/Eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain one.
Previous experience working in an Emergency Department preferred.
Strong ability to handle high-pressure situations and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
