We are seeking Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity at Hospital in California. This position provides long-term coverage for an Emergency Medicine department handling an average of 110 patients per 24 hours in a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital is stroke-certified and features a 32-bed Emergency Department.

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) when required
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation
  • Coordinate patient transfers and admissions as needed
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and critical care cases

Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages

Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation

Qualifications

Must have an active California medical license
Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Emergency Medicine
ACLS & BLS certifications required
Experience working in a Level III Trauma Center preferred
Must comply with flu and COVID-19 vaccination requirements (medical or religious exemptions available)

Working Hours

Priority shifts: Night coverage is a high priority
Guaranteed hours: 9 per shift
Overtime after 10 hours, must be preapproved by the Medical Director

April: 4/1 (11p-8a), 4/6-7 (6a-4p), 4/21 (9p-6a, 11p-8a), 4/25 (11p-8a)
May: 5/1-3 (9p-6a), 5/1-4 (11p-8a), 5/4 (6a-4p, 3p-12a), 5/8 (11p-8a), 5/10 (9p-6a, 11p-8a), 5/15-16 (11p-8a)
June: 6/1 (3p-12a), 6/7 (11p-8a), 6/9-15 (11p-8a), 6/10-11 (9p-6a), 6/15 (9p-6a), 6/21 (11p-8a), 6/23 (11p-8a), 6/23-24 (9p-6a), 6/25 (11p-8a), 6/29-30 (11p-8a)
