Momentum Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a qualified MD/DO Emergency Medicine physician for a locum assignment in Hampton, VA. Position: Locum MD/DO Emergency Medicine Physician
Location: Hampton, Virginia
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and treat patients in the emergency department for a wide variety of acute conditions, including trauma, illness, injuries, and medical emergencies.
Provide immediate stabilization and critical care to patients requiring urgent treatment.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, trauma specialists, and support staff.
Perform thorough evaluations, diagnoses, and interventions while managing patient flow efficiently in a high-volume ER setting.
Accurately document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR).
Respond to life-threatening emergencies and code blue situations as needed.
Ensure timely and effective patient care while adhering to established protocols and best practices.
Qualifications:
MD/DO with Board Certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
Active Virginia medical license or ability to obtain one.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure in an emergency room environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
Previous experience in emergency medicine is preferred but not required.
