Job Details:
- 6-24hr shifts per month, 8a-8a
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS are required.
- Experience in CAH preferred
- Provide care for patients of all ages in an ED with 9 beds: 6 private rooms, 1 exam with 2 bays (curtains) for minor surgery, and 1 trauma room.
- Annual volume 8,200 patients (less during COVID-19 pandemic).
- Volume of patients per day ranges from 15 to 40; average 22-23 patients.
- Approximately 16% of patients are admitted, and 2.3% are transferred to a higher level of care. Payer mix over last 3 years has been 33.8% Medicare, 23.1% Medicaid, 37.6% commercial, and 5.5% self-pay/other. Recent age distribution (12/21 to 3/22) was 6.5% birth to age 5, 8.7% age 6-17, 58.2% age 18-64, 15.9% age 65-79, and 10.7% age 80+.
- One APP in also on currently from 12-8p, provided by returning locum APRN and PAs - full-time model recruitment to begin soon.
- EM physician leads codes for inpatients in conjunction with hospitalist.
