We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage starting April 2025. This position involves providing high-quality care in a dynamic Emergency Department with both physician and mid-level provider support.
- Provide emergency medical care to a daily volume of 90-100 patients.
- Collaborate with mid-level providers (2 Advanced Practice Providers per shift).
- Utilize MediTech 6.1 EMR system for real-time patient documentation.
- Manage a variety of acute and emergent cases in a 22-bed Emergency Department.
- Maintain compliance with NC Medicaid enrollment and PECOS credentialing.
- Patient Volume: Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per shift.
- Support Staff: 1 physician and 2 Advanced Practice Providers on each shift.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with mid-level providers (2 Advanced Practice Providers per shift).
Utilize MediTech 6.1 EMR system for real-time patient documentation.
Manage a variety of acute and emergent cases in a 22-bed Emergency Department.
Maintain compliance with NC Medicaid enrollment and PECOS credentialing.
Qualifications
Current licensure in North Carolina is required.
Certifications needed: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS.
Working Hours
Upcoming open shifts include April 5-6, 11-12, and others through April 2025.
Flexible holiday coverage for New Year’s Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Skills
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Proficiency with MediTech 6.1 EMR system.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
