We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage starting April 2025. This position involves providing high-quality care in a dynamic Emergency Department with both physician and mid-level provider support.
  • Provide emergency medical care to a daily volume of 90-100 patients.
  • Collaborate with mid-level providers (2 Advanced Practice Providers per shift).
  • Utilize MediTech 6.1 EMR system for real-time patient documentation.
  • Manage a variety of acute and emergent cases in a 22-bed Emergency Department.
  • Maintain compliance with NC Medicaid enrollment and PECOS credentialing.
  • Patient Volume: Physicians typically see 18-20 patients per shift.
  • Support Staff: 1 physician and 2 Advanced Practice Providers on each shift.

Job Responsibilities

Provide emergency medical care to a daily volume of 90-100 patients.
Collaborate with mid-level providers (2 Advanced Practice Providers per shift).
Utilize MediTech 6.1 EMR system for real-time patient documentation.
Manage a variety of acute and emergent cases in a 22-bed Emergency Department.
Maintain compliance with NC Medicaid enrollment and PECOS credentialing.

Qualifications

Must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
Current licensure in North Carolina is required.
Certifications needed: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS.

Working Hours

Scheduled 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM).
Upcoming open shifts include April 5-6, 11-12, and others through April 2025.
Flexible holiday coverage for New Year’s Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
