  • *** Site will consider providers with IMLC licenses. Must have a Letter of qualification and a time frame of when license will be obtained when applied for at the time of presentation. If LQ is not submitted with presentation, provider will be redirected.

  • New ED with 75 exam rooms under construction and opening late 2024-25

  • 24-hour Cath Lab

  • Scribes work alongside physicians

  • Additional 10-bed overflow unit

  • No Call

  • Must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine

  • Residency requirements- EM residency required

  • Temporary Privileges: Most files are granted temporary privileges prior to the credentials meeting being held due to the rapid turn-around time.

  • We do not need to request temps and there is not a separate process, or application, or fee in- order for a provider to be granted temps.

  • Temps are valid for 120 days (or until the file received full Board approval) – whichever occurs first.

  • Once a hard-stop date for rapid processing of files is identified, below outlines the normal temporary privilege process:

  • Temporary privileges may be granted by the CEO, upon recommendation of the President of the Medical Staff, when there is an important patient care, treatment, or service need, such as: (i) for the care of a specific patient or (ii) to an individual serving as a locum tenens for a member of the Medical Staff. Prior to the granting of temporary privileges in important patient care need situations, current licensure and current competence will be verified.

  • EMR- Epic

  • ED Volume- 65,000

  • Specialty Back Up: All specialty backup available, except for Ophthalmology, OMFS, and hand surgery

  • MUST be open to working days and nights including weekends. Site is adding an addition shift and currently down 1 FTE nocturnist.

Job Responsibilities

Please note that a call interview/Zoom Meeting with the Site Medical Director (SMD)/Clinical Leadership at the site will be required. Contact phone number and best time to contact over the next two weeks must be included with the presentation.

Qualifications

Must have active KY license and DEA at time of presentation
Must be available for a 6 minimum shifts per month.
Will accept providers with IMLC licenses that have Letter of Qualification
Must have clean file and claims history background
MUST be BE/BC in Emergency Medicine. WILL ONLY ACCEPT ABEM PROVIDERS WITH A COMPLETED RESIDENCY IN EM. NO OTHER SPECIALITES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Shift(s) Description:
12 hours shifts, 7a-7p, 10a-10p, 2p-2a, 7p-7a (Must be available for a minimum of 6 shifts per month)
