A renowned healthcare facility in Connecticut is currently seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join their team. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a high-volume, Level 2 Trauma Center.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: 9-hour day shifts or 10-hour night shifts (main need is days)
  • Schedule: Flexible; 6-8 shifts per month or weekend availability
  • Setting: Level 2 Trauma Center with approximately 65,000 patient visits annually
  • Support: Physician Assistant backup available
  • Telehealth Experience: Not required

Responsibilities:
The Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting
  • Managing trauma and other acute cases in a Level 2 Trauma Center
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including PAs, to ensure quality care
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Adhering to all clinical and operational standards

Qualifications:

  • MD degree
  • Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
  • 100% clean file required
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-acuity emergency setting
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center or similar setting
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
