Position Description
  • Work Dates Needed: Ongoing
  • Preferred Schedule: 7a-5p, 11a-9p, 5p-3a, 9p-7a (main); 7a-7p, 7p-7a (FSED)
  • Worksite Setting: Hospital & Free Standing ED
  • Scope of Work: Emergency Medicine - Trauma Level III
  • Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Candidates must be BC, TX License, ACLS, PALS
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Pay Rate Preferred:
  • ABEM required
  • •Census? 115/day at main, 70/day at FSED
  • •How many daily admissions? 25% admission rate at main, 5% at FSED
•Are there any consults and if so, how many per day? All specialties consistent with a level 3 trauma center are available, OB is available, in-house intensivist and hospitalist service •What’s the patient population? Urban, middle class •Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? Level 3. Moderate-High acuity and complex pathology. Physicians do not see low acuity at Main ED. •What does the support staff look like? Adequate nurses, techs, paramedics, and security •How will follow up cases be handled? (when applicable- inpatient or outpatient) N/A
