Hi there! This is Jason from ProTouch Medical.

We are in search of a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician for Orange County, New York. The region is located in the Southernmost corner of the State.

The ideal Provider will be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and have an active license in New York.

This Client offers competitive compensation for the right candidate.
ProTouch covers all travel expenses & malpractice with tail coverage.


Location: Orange County, NY.

Job Type: Locum / Contract

Duration of Assignment: March - Ongoing throughout 2025

Shifts: 7a-5/7p, 10:30a-9:30p, 3p-11:30p, 9p-7a

Practice Details:

  • Total Hospital Beds: 150
  • Facility's Total Annual Volume: 48,000
  • 31 ED beds; 8 Fast Track
  • EMR: EPIC
  • ED Patients per hour: 2
  • Level III Trauma
  • Specialty Back Up: trauma, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, ob gyn, anesthesia, critical care
  • Additional Job/Facility Details: Internal medicine residents, PA students from Marist, 24/7 CIM coverage, Scribe Coverage
  • Shift Coverage: 24/7 Physician and APP coverage.
  • Weekends: yes
  • Call: no

Requirements:

  • Must have an active NY medical license. We WILL NOT accept those that need to apply.
  • Must provide 24 months in case logs
  • Must be EM residency trained
  • Will accept BC or BE
  • MUST have CLEAN file
  • Will not accept ABPS (American Board of Physician Specialties)
  • All Providers (including APP's) MUST have ACLS, BCLS, PALS and ATLS regardless of board status. MUST BE AHA
  • Health Requirements: All immunizations, TB, Flu, Covid.
  • Physicians MUST complete a residency in Emergency Medicine and hold a board certificate or provide evidence of eligibility for certification by ABEM and be board certified within 3 years of eligibility. MUST be ABEM certified. Hospital does not accept ABPS certification.
