Job Title: Locum - Emergency Medicine Physician

• 10:30a-9:30p
• 3p-11:30p

  Weekend Requirements: Yes
  On Call: No

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Duties:
  • Provide emergency care in a busy emergency department with 31 ED beds and 8 Fast Track beds.
  • Manage a variety of emergency conditions, including trauma, cardiology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, anesthesia, and critical care cases.
  • Work alongside internal medicine residents, PA students, and a team of physicians and APPs.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Facility Overview:
  • Total Hospital Beds: 150
  • Annual ED Volume: 48,000 visits
  • Trauma Level: Level III
  • Specialty Back-Up: Trauma, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, anesthesia, and critical care.
  • Additional Support: Scribes, 24/7 CIM coverage, PA students from Marist, and internal medicine residents.

Certifications & Training Requirements

• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS
  • ATLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • Board Certified (ABEM) or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
  • ABPS certification is NOT accepted.

Licensing & Credentialing Requirements

• New York Licensing:
  • Must have an active New York Medical License
  • DEA and other state-specific licenses may be required
• Credentialing:
  • Must have a clean malpractice and background history.
  • 24 months of case logs must be submitted with application.

Facility & Support

• Support Services:
  • Scribes for documentation support.
  • 24/7 physician and APP coverage.
  • In-house specialties: trauma, cardiology, orthopedics, anesthesia, critical care.
• Health Requirements:
  • Immunizations, TB test, flu, COVID, and MMR titers are required.
