We are seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team as locum tenens providers due to scheduling needs. This position offers consistent, scheduled clinical hours with flexible [Register to View] a Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide patient care at two state-of-the-art Emergency Departments.
  • Admissions and emergency consultations.
  • Collaborative patient management with RN, NP/PA, and support staff.
  • No temporary privileges required—credentialing made efficient.
  • Work in a supportive environment with 24/7 access to services like Radiology, OR, Laboratory, and General Surgery.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
Oversee clinical workflows to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
Work collaboratively with nurses, advanced practice providers, and ancillary teams.
Respond to emergencies promptly in a Level III Trauma setting.
Document encounters accurately using the Medhost EMR system.

Qualifications

American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
Alternate: Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with extensive Emergency Medicine experience.
License: Active New Mexico State License (required).
Certifications Required:
ACLS
ATLS
PALS
DEA: Must possess an active DEA license.

Working Hours

Shift Options: 7 AM – 7 PM | 7 PM – 7 AM
Providers must cover both locations
