Coverage Needed:

• As soon as credentialed – ongoing
• Cover 3 locations
• Shifts: All shifts are 6a-6p, 6p-6a

Clinical Information:

• EMR: Meditech
• Number of beds: 1st facility - 8, 2nd facility - 12, 3rd facility - 15
• 10% admissions at FSEDs
• Patient population: 1st facility - Elderly, winter Texans, 2nd facility - nursing home, elderly, rural, 3rd facility - mixed, more younger patients
• Some facilities are Level IV trauma centers
• All sites see high acuity
• Support staff: Each site has APP coverage (9-12 hours)
• Average patient census: 45-60 per day
• All Variety of Emergency Medicine Cases
• 1 EM per shift

Required:

• DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
• Current Flu Vaccine
• Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
• Board Certified in one of the following:
  • American Board of Emergency Medicine
  • American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
• Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered “Local”, and will not be eligible for this role
• Experience level: At least 2 years of ED experience to work in FSEDs or Family medicine with Emergency medicine fellowship
• Case logs will be required
• Required Procedures: Intubations, central line placement, Ultrasound utilization, OB delivery, dislocation reductions, chest tube placement, trauma management, laceration repair
