We are seeking a dedicated and board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. This role is crucial to providing exceptional care in our Emergency Department. Join a supportive team in a well-equipped facility serving a diverse patient population in Clinton, North Carolina.

  • Support Services: Includes anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and L&D departments.
  • Credentialing Timeline: 2 weeks (emergency privileges available for NC-licensed physicians)

Job Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency medical care for patients in a 22-bed department.
Collaborate with a team of Advanced Practice Providers (2 PA/NPs) and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Utilize MediTech 6.1 EMR system for documentation.
Participate in the clinical care rotation during scheduled hours (no on-call required).
Support supplemental holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (minimum requirement).
Active NC State License (Medicare/Medicaid NC certification preferred).
Required Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS.
Experience:
Previous experience in emergency care preferred.
Ability to manage both inpatient and outpatient emergency cases.

Working Hours

Proficiency in emergency medical procedures.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Skills

Schedule: Monday through Friday, scheduled clinical hours only.
Shift Coverage: Holiday shifts include major U.S. holidays such as New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
