We are seeking an experienced and Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in Pennsylvania. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality care in a non-trauma emergency department with state-of-the-art facilities and a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibilities

Provide emergency department coverage.
Manage a range of cases and oversee the transfer of higher-acuity patients when necessary.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Epic EMR.

Qualifications

Board Certification: ABEM or AOBEM certification required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Medicine.
Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license required.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
DEA License: Required.

Working Hours

13-hour shifts: 6 AM – 7 PM or 6 PM – 7 AM
Shifts per Month: 16–20

Skills

Medical and Clinical Skills:
Emergency Patient Care:
Expertise in diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions.
Ability to stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
Advanced Life Support:
Proficiency in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
Procedural Skills:
Intubation, central line placement, and other emergency procedures.
Managing trauma-related injuries and conditions (despite not being a trauma center).
Medical Decision-Making:
Sound clinical judgment to assess whether patients can be managed onsite or need to be transferred.
Ability to work under pressure and make rapid, informed decisions.
Technical Skills:
EMR Proficiency:
Experience with Epic or similar electronic medical record systems for accurate documentation and patient management.
Interpersonal and Teamwork Skills:
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively with nurses, advanced practice providers, and other medical staff.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families.
Leadership:
Ability to lead a care team in high-stress situations.
