**Emergency Medicine opening in Asheville, NC** * Independent Contractor * Full-time * 100k annual ED visits * Daily Physician Shifts: 6a-2p, 7a-3p, 8a-5p, 12p-9p, 1p-11p, 2p-10p, 3p-11p, 4p-1a, 8p-5a, 10p-6a, 11p-7a (subject to change and are dependent upon volumes) * Daily APC coverage * Cerner First NET EMR * 815 bed hospital * Comprehensive Stroke Center * Level II Trauma Center * Outstanding clinical leadership * $256/hr for days and $276/hr for nights w/potential for additional $10/hr incentive * Sign on: $150,000 for 3 years (first year full payback, second, and third prorated) **Responsibilities** * Provide medical care to patients in the emergency department * Assess patient condition * Order and interpret diagnostic tests * Develop and implement treatment plans * Work independently and as part of a team * Handle a variety of patient presentations * Stay up-to-date on the latest medical knowledge and practices * Participate in continuing education and professional development activities * Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance * Comply with all hospital policies and procedures **Qualifications** * Board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine * Strong clinical skills and judgment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Ability to handle stress and work under pressure Asheville is a city in western North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.
