Job Description:

• Position Overview: Seeking a highly skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to work across multiple facilities in Pennsylvania, covering 24-hour shifts with a minimum of 5 shifts per month. Providers will work in various emergency departments with diverse patient populations and acuities.
• Work Setting:
  • Hospital-based emergency departments (ED)
  • Varies by location: Trauma Centers (Level II), Critical Access Hospitals, and general hospital EDs
  • Average daily patient census and acuity vary by location

Work Details:

• Patient Age Group: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Trauma Level: Level I and II Trauma Centers, Critical Access Hospitals
• EMR System: Cerner
• Support Staff: Varies by facility, including physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Skills Required: ABEM certification is required for all locations
• Facilities:
  • DuBois: New state-of-the-art ED, Level II Trauma Center, 360-bed hospital
  • Mon Valley: 200-bed hospital with 20 rooms, Level II Trauma Center
  • Connellsville: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, single physician on shift
  • Tyrone: 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, single physician on shift
  • Huntingdon: 14-room ED, supportive team environment
  • Elk & Clearfield: 25-bed Critical Access Hospitals with multiple physicians and APPs on shift

Shift Details:

• Shift Length: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM or varying times based on facility)
• Shifts per Month: Minimum of 5 shifts per month
• Rotation: Providers will rotate between multiple facilities

Job Requirements:

• Board Certification: Emergency Medicine (ABEM certified)
• State Licensure: Pennsylvania
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • DEA
  • ABEM Certification
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Emergency Medicine
• Charting Experience: Experience with Cerner is required
• Credentialing: 60-90 days

Compensation:

• Rate: $285 per hour

  • 44 rooms, 4 trauma bays, Level II Trauma Center, new neuro trauma ICU
  • Annual volume: 30,000 visits
  • Shift times: 6 AM - 2 PM, 11 AM - 9 PM, 2 PM - 11 PM, 9 PM - 6 AM
• Mon Valley:
  • 20 rooms, 2 trauma bays, 200-bed hospital
  • Annual volume: 18,000 visits
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 3 PM, 3 PM - 11 PM, 11 PM - 7 AM, 10 AM - 8 PM (weekends 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM, 11 AM - 9 PM)
• Connellsville:
  • 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
  • Annual volume: 15,000 visits, low acuity
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM
• Tyrone:
  • 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
  • Annual volume: 10,000 visits, low acuity
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM, 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
• Huntingdon:
  • 14 rooms in ED, 12,000 annual visits
  • Shift times: 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, 8:30 PM - 8:30 AM
• Elk & Clearfield:
  • 25-bed Critical Access Hospitals
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 7 PM
