Job Description:

• Position Overview: Seeking Emergency Medicine physicians to join a float pool across various Healthcare facilities in Pennsylvania. Providers will cover a variety of shifts in emergency departments with a range of acuities and patient populations.
• Facilities Included:
  • DuBois – Level II Trauma Center
  • Mon Valley – SE of Pittsburgh
  • Connellsville – Critical Access
  • Tyrone – Critical Access
  • Huntingdon – Critical Access
  • Elk – Critical Access
  • Clearfield – Critical Access

Work Details:

• Patient Age Group: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Trauma Level: Varies by facility (Level I, II, or Critical Access)
• Department: Emergency Medicine
• EMR System: Cerner
• Support Staff: Varies by facility, including APPs and physicians on shift
• Hospital Bed Size: Varies by location (see facility details below)
• Skills Required: ABEM certification required

Shift and Schedule Details:

• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, or varying schedules depending on facility)
• Work Schedule: 7 days a week with shifts rotating across facilities
• Coverage Needed per Month: Minimum of 5 shifts per month for each provider

• DuBois:
  • New state-of-the-art ED
  • 44 rooms with 4 trauma bays, Level II Trauma Center
  • 360-bed hospital
  • Shift times: 6 AM - 2 PM, 11 AM - 9 PM, 2 PM - 11 PM, 9 PM - 6 AM
• Mon Valley:
  • 20 rooms with 2 trauma bays
  • 200-bed hospital
  • Shift times: Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3 PM, 3 PM - 11 PM, 11 PM - 7 AM, 10 AM - 8 PM
  • Weekend shifts: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM, 11 AM - 9 PM
• Connellsville:
  • 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
  • Single physician on shift
  • Average census: 10-15 patients, low acuity
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM
• Tyrone:
  • 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
  • Single physician on shift
  • Average census: 10-15 patients, low acuity
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM, 12 or 24-hour shifts
• Huntingdon:
  • 14 rooms in ED, approx. 12,000 annual visits
  • 12-hour shifts with an excellent team environment
  • Shift times: 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, 8:30 PM - 8:30 AM
• Elk & Clearfield:
  • 25-bed Critical Access Hospitals
  • 12-hour shifts with multiple physicians and APPs on shift
  • Shift times: 7 AM - 7 PM

Job Requirements:

• Board Certification: Emergency Medicine (ABEM certified)
• State Licensure: Pennsylvania (or willingness to obtain)
• Certifications:
  • BLS
  • DEA
• Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year
• EMR Experience: Cerner
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

Compensation:

• Rate: $285 per hour

• This is a float pool position, so providers must be willing to work across multiple locations within the system.
