- 5 dedicated fast-track beds
- Internal waiting room
- ED Admission Rate: 24%
- EM physicians and APPs do not enter any admission/holding orders
- EMR: Epic (Fall 2023)
- Brand new ED facility opened in June 2023
- 24/7/365 XR, CT, US
- All new state-of-the-art equipment for the ED
- Pediatrics: 13% of volume, with UH RBC Pediatric EM telehealth consultations available
- RBC Pediatric EM physicians coming January 2024
- Standardized Pediatric Broselow crash cart for pediatric resuscitations
- Accredited Chest Pain and Stroke Center
- Accessible social work support
- Utilization management support 24/7
- Adult psychiatry evaluations and placement managed by 24/7 UH telehealth
- Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program is available
- Glidescope, Ambuscope, and standardized difficult airway carts for airway management
- Standardized Pediatric Broselow crash cart for pediatric resuscitations
- Attending physician backup for EM APPs available in person 24/7
- Residents rotate in the ED

- Within a half-hour drive are Case Western Reserve University, the University of Akron, Kent State University, John Carroll University, Cleveland State University, Ursuline College, Baldwin Wallace University and Notre Dame College
